Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end kitchen operation
Recruit and assemble a kitchen team of more than 20 staff
Train, supervise and grow the capabilities of team members
Lead high-volume kitchen service
Design and roll out commercially viable menus
Uphold food quality and presentation standards
Manage food costs, labour spend and purchasing decisions
Optimise stock levels and minimise wastage
Cultivate relationships with local suppliers
Implement effective kitchen systems and ensure HACCP, food safety and WHS compliance
Partner with venue leadership and drive continuous improvement by monitoring service performance
Lead the kitchen from venue opening into ongoing service

Requirements & Eligibility

Established track record in a Head Chef or senior chef position
2–3 years’ experience in charge of a large-scale or high-volume kitchen
Demonstrated capability managing 20+ kitchen employees
Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery
Hands-on menu planning and food-costing experience
Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
Proven ability to lead and develop staff
Excellent communication and decision-making capability
In-depth knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements
Verifiable professional experience and commitment to professional hospitality standards
Willingness to relocate to regional New South Wales
