Culinary professionals looking to progress their careers can join the opening team of a new restaurant in Victoria. The lead role is an accomplished Head Chef who will run the kitchen, establish high standards and help shape an Italian-inspired menu, supported by experienced Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct kitchen operations and coordinate the team
- Produce and plate Italian and European-inspired cuisine of a high standard
- Uphold consistent food quality, taste and presentation
- Contribute to menu development, recipe preparation, specials and seasonal offerings
- Oversee food preparation, purchasing, ordering and stock rotation
- Track stock levels, food costs and kitchen resources
- Assist with labour planning and efficient kitchen operations
- Develop kitchen team members through training, guidance and support
- Keep kitchen procedures accurate and consistent, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
- Perform efficiently during busy service while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
- Foster effective communication between the kitchen and management team and contribute to a positive, professional, team-focused culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial kitchen experience that is relevant and can be verified
- Head Chef applicants need a minimum 3 years in a senior chef or Head Chef role
- Candidates for the other available roles need previous experience as a Chef, Cook or Kitchen Hand
- Capacity to evidence relevant culinary skills and professional experience
- Italian or modern European cuisine experience is highly regarded
- Relevant culinary qualifications or recognised trade training are advantageous
- Senior positions call for strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of food costing, ordering, stock control and kitchen operations
- Capability to sustain high standards at a fast pace, with a strong grasp of food safety and hygiene practices
- A dependable, organised and professional work style and effective teamwork in the kitchen
- Availability for required hospitality shifts, evenings and weekends included
