An established salon in Victoria is seeking a capable stylist with genuine hands-on experience in cutting, colouring and styling, ready to bring that expertise into a supportive team environment while continuing to develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client consultations to understand individual hair requirements
Advise on hair care routines and professional products
Execute precision haircuts using scissors, thinning scissors and clippers
Deliver men's cutting and styling services
Perform colouring, highlighting, chemical straightening and other applicable treatments
Carry out shampooing, conditioning and scalp preparation
Create occasion, event and professional-session hairstyles
Undertake braiding and hair-piece work when required, and deliver personalised styling to client preferences
Uphold high standards of technical workmanship and presentation
Develop professional client relationships and support client retention and a loyal clientele
Contribute to a cooperative salon environment and maintain an organised, hygienic workstation

Requirements & Eligibility

Professional experience in hairdressing, supported by demonstrable practical skills
Industry experience up to a maximum of 5 years
Strong capability in cutting, colouring and styling
Practical experience with highlighting and chemical treatments
Confidence with men's and women's haircuts
Competence in event and occasion styling
Sound understanding of hair care and product recommendations
Strong client consultation and communication capability
Reliability, punctuality and professional presentation
A friendly, confident approach to customer service and effective teamwork
Commitment to quality and attention to detail
Flexibility with working hours; sponsorship available for the right candidate
