Premium hospitality depends on professionals who bring consistency, polish and genuine care to every guest interaction. A French-inspired dining venue in Western Australia is recruiting an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to anchor its front-of-house team.

The role suits a hospitality professional with a reliable record in restaurant service who can confidently represent a venue where food, wine and guest experience are equally important. It places you at the centre of how guests experience the restaurant, rather than in a routine service post.

Candidates will need to demonstrate their hospitality background, service capability and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Front-of-house leadership: take responsibility for consistently high service, mentor and support other service staff, and represent the business with reliability, professionalism and integrity
Guest welcome: create a warm and professional first impression for every arrival
Table management: oversee table service efficiently from arrival through to departure
Product expertise: explain food, wine, coffee and beverage selections and guide guests with appropriate food and wine recommendations
Wine service: deliver professional wine service in line with service standards
Team coordination: work closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues to support smooth operations in high-volume periods
Guest satisfaction: monitor satisfaction, respond promptly to individual needs and resolve service concerns professionally
Standards and compliance: maintain cleanliness, presentation and organisation, and follow responsible alcohol service procedures and venue policies
Daily operations: assist with opening and closing procedures
Continuous improvement: contribute ideas and effort to enhance the overall guest experience

Requirements & Eligibility

Fluent English, backed by strong verbal communication skills
A minimum 3 years in relevant restaurant roles
Proven professional or fine dining service background preferred
Experience as a senior waiter or head waiter, or comparable experience, highly regarded
Strong practical understanding of restaurant operations and table service
Confident wine knowledge and professional wine service skills
Genuine interest in food, wine and coffee
Valid RSA or Manager's Liquor Licence
Demonstrated capacity to perform under pressure and prioritise competing demands, delivering consistent service standards across busy shifts
Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills, with professional presentation, a positive attitude, a reliable work approach and strong attention to detail
Willingness to work weekends and hospitality trading hours
Ability to evidence relevant employment history and experience; candidates who meet the required criteria may be considered for sponsorship
