Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical repairs for heavy equipment in the field
- Perform field-based maintenance on heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and resolve them
- Troubleshoot and rectify equipment faults
- Respond to breakdowns with timely repairs
- Execute preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Assist with shutdown activities
- Support equipment relocation requirements
- Work with major OEM heavy equipment confidently
- Uphold high workmanship standards on every assigned task
- Organise daily work to meet required deadlines
- Produce precise service reports and maintenance documentation
- Liaise effectively with clients, site representatives and colleagues
- Observe workplace and site safety procedures while contributing to a professional, safety-focused team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification or an equivalent relevant qualification
- Relevant experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Proven capability repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving capability
- Experience with major OEM equipment is highly regarded
- Valid driver's licence meeting role requirements; High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous
- Effectiveness in a field service environment and a strong grasp of safe work practices
- Ability to complete required pre-employment assessments, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Qualifications, work history and professional identity that must be able to be verified
