General Maintenance Supervisor

You will be accountable for keeping accommodation facilities, public areas, recreational amenities, landscaped grounds and general property infrastructure safe, functional and welcoming for guests and staff. Tradespeople from India and other countries with broad maintenance experience can use this role to apply their skills in Australian hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance requirements
Deliver general building repairs and preventative maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, plastering and handyman tasks
Upkeep of guest accommodation, recreational areas, public facilities and amenities
Run lawn mowers, brush cutters, tractors and other maintenance machinery
Care for gardens, roads, fences and landscaped grounds
Contribute to renovation, refurbishment and property improvement projects
Action maintenance requests from management and guests promptly
Look after pools, pumps and wider property infrastructure
Ensure all work complies with Workplace Health and Safety standards
Keep accurate maintenance records and well-maintained tools and equipment
Enhance the property's overall presentation and operational efficiency

Requirements & Eligibility

Practical capability across multiple trades
Prior experience in a general maintenance, building maintenance or facilities management role, or similar
Skill in diagnosing maintenance issues and resolving them efficiently
Physically fit and capable of manual work, with a reliable, self-motivated and independent working style
Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills
A current driver's licence (or willingness to obtain an Australian driver's licence)
Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or landscaping experience will be highly regarded
A White Card is advantageous
Operating experience with forklifts, tractors or excavators is desirable
Preferred: prior experience in hotels, resorts, caravan parks or tourism facilities
