Formwork Carpenter

For formwork professionals, major commercial high-rise projects are where skills grow fastest. Capable Formwork Carpenters are being recruited to contribute to projects of this scale in Western Australia.
The position suits tradespeople who have developed their capability through hands-on project work and can evidence accurate, safe and dependable formwork. Assessment will place weight on your practical background, trade capability and employment history.
Visa sponsorship is available where a candidate's skills and experience reach the required standard. For skilled carpenters from India and elsewhere, it is a chance to add major high-rise work to their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and other construction trades
- Build and install formwork for concrete structures
- Remove formwork from concrete structures
- Undertake formwork activities across commercial high-rise developments
- Interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications and work to them
- Measure, position and assemble formwork with precision
- Apply suitable techniques across a range of formwork systems
- Inspect completed work to uphold required accuracy, quality and safety standards
- Comply with established site procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
- Sustain productivity and quality in line with project schedules
- Ensure work areas remain safe, organised and compliant with site requirements
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Formwork Carpenter
- Substantial experience in commercial high-rise construction
- Practical understanding of a range of formwork systems
- Capacity to understand and follow construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of safe construction practices
- Proven capability to deliver accurate, quality workmanship
- A valid Australian Construction White Card
- Ability to work efficiently within a professional construction team
- Reliable attendance
- A dependable approach to site responsibilities and project requirements
- Ability to provide evidence supporting your claimed trade skills and employment experience
- Candidates with suitably verified skills and substantial experience may be eligible for visa sponsorship
