Floor Restaurant Manager

Hospitality professionals looking to progress in restaurant management have a strong opportunity with a respected Italian hospitality business in New South Wales, which is seeking an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager.
The role combines solid floor management with a genuine understanding of Italian food, products and dining culture. As the person at the centre of the customer experience, you will ensure smooth operations while leading and developing the front-of-house team, building leadership experience that is valuable for a long-term hospitality career. Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with the chef and senior management to align restaurant activities
- Directing the front-of-house team and overseeing day-to-day service
- Running the full floor operation so guests enjoy efficient, welcoming dining
- Allocating duties among staff to keep service flowing
- Ensuring customers consistently receive a high level of service
- Supervising the team and resolving operational issues as they emerge
- Coaching and developing team members so they meet service expectations
- Checking that staff comply with workplace policies and procedures
- Upholding strong hygiene, cleanliness and food safety practices
- Tracking stock, keeping inventory records accurate and placing product orders with suppliers while accounting for seasonal availability
- Assisting the management team across daily operations
- Preserving the quality and authenticity of the Italian dining experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years in relevant restaurant management or floor management roles
- In-depth understanding of Italian food, cuisine and products
- A track record of leading and supervising hospitality teams
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service capability
- Strong leadership and team management, including training, motivating and coordinating employees effectively
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the composure to remain professional and organised during busy service
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving ability
- Highly regarded: an Italian background or strong knowledge of Italian dining culture
- Commitment to an exceptional customer experience, and readiness to commence part-time with potential progression to full-time
