Event and Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that drive organisational growth
- Lead the planning and delivery of major sporting events, coordinating all requirements from the initial plan through to final delivery
- Build and manage productive relationships and partnerships with sponsors, partners, suppliers, contractors, volunteers, community and commercial stakeholders
- Support sponsorship activation, pursue new partnership opportunities and find ways to improve participation, revenue, event quality and stakeholder experience
- Coordinate staffing, volunteers, contractors, logistics and event-day operations
- Partner with marketing teams on effective event promotion and communication
- Assist Race Directors with State Series and Championship event delivery
- Direct operational activities and make decisive calls during live events
- Monitor deadlines, resources, logistics and competing priorities, resolving operational issues with practical solutions
- Apply proven event management expertise to continuously refine event delivery
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in professional event management or a related field
- Proven ability to coordinate and deliver events successfully, supported by a track record of ownership and practical results
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including experience engaging sponsors, partners, suppliers or external stakeholders
- A commercial mindset grounded in an understanding of revenue and business growth
- Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- A confident leadership style and willingness to be hands-on
- A strong focus on customer, member and community experience
- Flexible availability for occasional weekend and extended event hours
- Relevant event management experience is essential
- Willingness to work in Western Australia
