Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical drawings, plans and technical specifications
  • Deliver commercial electrical installation and maintenance
  • Contribute to infrastructure and development projects
  • Install, service and maintain streetlighting systems
  • Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults
  • Complete installations in line with project requirements
  • Operate autonomously and manage assigned responsibilities effectively
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship across every project
  • Comply with electrical regulations, workplace procedures and safety requirements
  • Liaise with supervisors, colleagues and project stakeholders
  • Use and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely
  • Adapt to varied project requirements and working environments while fostering a reliable, professional team culture

Requirements & Eligibility

  • 3–5+ years of commercial electrical experience
  • Current EWRB Electrical Registration
  • A current New Zealand Practising Licence, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance
  • A verifiable employment history in the electrician trade
  • Capacity to demonstrate genuine practical electrical skills
  • Confidence in working independently and making sound technical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • A proactive, reliable and professional approach, underpinned by a strong commitment to health and safety
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within a small team
  • Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand or suitability for employer-supported sponsorship
