Key Responsibilities

  • Design learning programs that keep children engaged, then put them into practice
  • Provide education and care of a high standard, guided by the approved frameworks
  • Nurture every child's wellbeing, learning and growth
  • Shape a learning space that feels safe, inclusive and nurturing
  • Track each child's progress through observation, assessment and documentation
  • Cultivate strong bonds with children, families and co-workers, collaborating with fellow educators and centre leadership
  • Advance the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of every child
  • Keep records and learning documentation precise
  • Make sure Early Childhood Education regulations and centre policies are met
  • Contribute ideas to continuous quality improvement and take part in team meetings and professional development
  • Champion inclusive practice and positive guidance of behaviour
  • Ensure the learning space stays welcoming, clean and safe

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved equivalent
  • Minimum 12 months of hands-on work within an early childhood education setting
  • Working with Children Check that is current, or the capacity to obtain one
  • Sound grasp of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Clear understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Strong awareness of modern practice in early childhood education
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication capability, contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Genuine enthusiasm for nurturing children's development and learning
  • Strong time management and organisational capability
  • Dedication to delivering education and care of a high quality
