Key Responsibilities

Deliver horizontal directional drilling on infrastructure and utility jobs spanning power, communications, water, sewer and gas works
Handle HDD equipment in both operating and tracking capacities
Work to project specifications and approved drilling procedures
Keep a close watch on bore progress so the site runs efficiently
Lend a hand with service locating and identifying buried utilities whenever needed
Hold every project to strict safety and quality benchmarks
Adhere to workplace procedures, project systems and compliance obligations
Record operational and project information accurately
Look after drilling equipment through regular inspection, raising any faults without delay
Collaborate with crews, supervisors and other people on site, keeping communication clear and professional
Anticipate operational or safety hazards and take suitable action
Produce consistent workmanship on every job and help sustain an organised, safety-first, professional workplace

Requirements & Eligibility

A strong practical track record in horizontal directional drilling operations
Demonstrated professional background as a directional driller or drill tracker
Evidence you can supply to back up past HDD roles and experience
Industry-relevant qualifications, licences or accreditations
Background in service locating is advantageous
A demonstrated focus on workplace health and safety
A dependable, consistent record of employment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to contribute effectively within a professional site crew
A high level of attention to detail matched by a strong, dependable work ethic
Comfort working within structured systems, procedures and documentation requirements
Professionalism in matters of quality, safety and compliance
Flexibility to adjust to different project requirements and work settings
