Your scope will include fixed plant maintenance, structural fabrication, repairs, modifications, shutdowns and breakdown activities, giving you broad exposure across industrial operations. Key Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to guide each job
Deliver coded welding on structural steel and pressure pipe
Produce 6G welding and fabrication work to the required standards
Execute repairs and modifications on fixed plant equipment
Fabricate new and repair existing piping, tanks, chutes, hoppers and ductwork
Restore structural supports and replace components that are worn or damaged
Service pumps, thickeners and other industrial plant equipment
Undertake planned preventative maintenance and support corrective and breakdown work
Contribute to shutdowns and scheduled maintenance campaigns
Complete fabrication tasks across workshop and site settings
Sustain accurate, safe and high-quality workmanship from start to finish
Comply with site safety procedures and applicable welding standards

Requirements & Eligibility

Proven track record as a Coded Welder
Solid hands-on background in welding and fabrication
Capability to successfully complete a 6G weld test
Cert III Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate Engineering Trade qualification
Exposure to fixed plant maintenance is highly desirable
Employment history in welding and fabrication that can be verified, supported by evidence of relevant qualifications and trade experience
Current Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications
Both certifications (Working at Heights and Confined Space) obtained within the previous 2 years
Current driver's licence and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Dedication to safety, quality and professional workmanship
