The operation is recruiting experienced Cooks and Chefs with strong commercial backgrounds, capable of maintaining quality, working efficiently in busy services and contributing to a professional kitchen. Key Responsibilities
- Support recipe and menu development as needed
- Execute daily mise en place and food preparation
- Organise preparation for lunch and dinner services
- Prepare and cook meals in line with established standards
- Adhere to recipes to ensure consistency and quality
- Oversee food quality, presentation and portion control
- Handle multiple cooking tasks simultaneously during peak service
- Sustain consistent performance in a high-volume environment
- Uphold workstation organisation, cleanliness and hygiene in line with appropriate food safety and hygiene procedures
- Collaborate closely with the broader kitchen team during service
- Ensure preparation and cooking tasks are delivered on schedule
- Respond to changing service requirements and kitchen priorities, assisting with general kitchen operations as required
- Foster a positive, professional and cooperative workplace
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional background as a Cook or Chef
- Proven experience in commercial kitchens
- Experience in busy, high-volume hospitality operations
- Capacity to produce consistent food quality under pressure
- Sound command of cooking methods and food preparation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures with accuracy
- Strong organisation and time management capability
- A reliable and professional approach to workplace responsibilities, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively as part of a kitchen team
- Passion for hospitality and food preparation
- Flexibility to cover weekend, early-morning and late-night shifts when required
- Prior multi-venue hospitality experience is advantageous
- Relevant culinary qualifications, and/or a substantial record of industry experience
- Capacity to satisfy applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
- Willingness to undergo the required candidate verification and assessment process, with sponsorship available for eligible and suitably experienced candidates
