Key Responsibilities

Deliver professional front-of-house service: greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages and responding to menu enquiries
Prepare and cook dishes to established quality standards, maintaining consistency in quality, presentation and portion control
Run kitchen sections efficiently throughout service
Handle ingredient preparation while keeping preparation and work areas organised, clean and safe
Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
Contribute to inventory, stock control and the receiving of deliveries
Collaborate across kitchen and front-of-house teams and mentor less experienced staff when required
Reset, clean and clear tables, sustaining a welcoming and professional dining environment
Process payments through POS systems
Contribute to broader restaurant operations as required

Requirements & Eligibility

Chef and Cook positions: minimum 1 year in a commercial kitchen environment
Demonstrated expertise in Asian cuisine
Japanese cuisine experience is not required
Relevant Australian qualifications are preferred
A genuine, verifiable employment record and the capacity to demonstrate practical skills relevant to the position
Strong communication and teamwork capability, combined with a reliable and professional work ethic
Openness to learning established workplace procedures and a commitment to developing a long-term hospitality career
Valid Australian work rights, with current residence in Australia
Willingness to commence employment ahead of sponsorship being considered
Sponsorship available for eligible candidates subject to verified experience, performance and business requirements
