Key Responsibilities
- Lead the wok station, overseeing preparation and cooking during service
- Produce a varied Asian menu using appropriate commercial cooking techniques, with consistent flavour, portioning, presentation and quality
- Provide cross-section support on grill, fryer, pan and general preparation, adapting to changing service requirements
- Complete preparation efficiently ahead of and throughout service
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Support stock monitoring, rotation and inventory control while minimising unnecessary food waste
- Maintain clean, organised workstations across service
- Collaborate effectively with chefs and the wider kitchen team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum two years of relevant experience working a commercial wok station
- Demonstrated practical experience preparing Asian cuisine
- Strong capability across wok, grill, fryer, pan and preparation sections
- Consistency of standards under high-pressure service
- Sound knowledge of commercial food safety and hygiene procedures
- A professional, dependable and cooperative approach within a fast-paced kitchen team
- Availability for rotating rosters, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Verifiable evidence of relevant qualifications and employment experience
