Key Responsibilities

Partner with kitchen staff to keep food service efficient
Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine to a commercial standard
Apply specialised curry, tandoor and South Indian cooking techniques
Work to established recipes, preparation methods and quality standards, delivering consistent taste, texture, quality and presentation
Complete ingredient and kitchen preparation before service, then manage cooking duties efficiently through busy periods
Uphold strict hygiene and food safety practices within an organised, clean and professional kitchen
Contribute to catering and event kitchen operations when required

Requirements & Eligibility

Proven commercial background in Indian cuisine, including demonstrable expertise in curry, tandoor or South Indian cooking
In-depth practical knowledge of Indian ingredients and cooking methods
Capability to produce high-quality dishes consistently
Prior work in a busy restaurant, catering or events kitchen
Good grasp of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Capacity to maintain quality while working under pressure
Reliable attendance and a strong professional work ethic, along with effective communication and teamwork
Relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous
