Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive and professional team culture while identifying ways to improve kitchen efficiency and food quality
  • Assist in training and developing junior chefs and apprentices
  • Prepare and cook to established quality standards, delivering consistent à la carte dishes in busy service
  • Organise food preparation and kitchen tasks efficiently
  • Uphold high standards of presentation and portion control
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene and workplace health requirements
  • Operate effectively across kitchen sections, taking initiative to maintain operations when required
  • Liaise clearly with kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
  • Support stock preparation and general kitchen operations

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Previous experience in a Chef or similar culinary role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Demonstrated capability in preparing à la carte cuisine
  • Strong practical cooking and food preparation skills, underpinned by an understanding of professional food safety and hygiene standards
  • Capacity to work independently in a busy kitchen while demonstrating reliable, consistent performance
  • Strong communication and teamwork, with a professional attitude and commitment to quality
  • Experience in supporting or mentoring junior kitchen staff is advantageous
  • Willingness to work across day, evening and overnight shifts
  • English proficiency
  • Holding Australian work rights is preferred
  • Readiness to relocate to Western Australia
  • Sponsorship available to the right candidate
