The kitchen is organised and high-performing, and the focus is on fusion-style cuisine. Working across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, you will own food preparation, quality and kitchen coordination while continuing to develop your culinary expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen coordination, delegating tasks and helping supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Prepare, cook and plate breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items efficiently, including during peak service
  • Deliver authentic fusion-style cuisine in line with recipe and quality standards
  • Set up ingredients, cooking stations, knives, pans, scales and other equipment before service
  • Review recipes and refine ingredients or preparation methods as needed
  • Brief front-of-house staff on daily specials and relevant kitchen information
  • Maintain consistent, attractive presentation of every finished dish
  • Accommodate reasonable customer requests by modifying meals
  • Monitor stock, forecast ingredient requirements and support purchasing and stock ordering
  • Check food freshness and quality throughout operations
  • Remove expired or unsuitable food in accordance with food safety procedures
  • Operate commercial cooking equipment safely and maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated professional experience as a Chef or Cook, including a minimum 2 years of kitchen experience
  • Experience preparing fusion-style cuisine and strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and recipes
  • Practical experience with grills, fryers, ovens and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of baking and pastry techniques
  • Leadership capability, including confidence supervising kitchen staff
  • Ability to manage several tasks in a fast-paced environment, supported by strong time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation regulations
  • Commitment to high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate sponsored visa, and willingness to work in Western Australia
  • Visa sponsorship offered to eligible candidates
