Carpet & Flooring Installer

Visa sponsorship

Trade · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25 - $38/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

For anyone planning a long-term career in a skilled trade, this Christchurch opening spans several levels. A well-regarded flooring firm is growing and is recruiting skilled floor layers, team leads who can head up a job, and motivated learners at junior or apprentice stage. More than one appointment may be made.

Projects range across homes and light commercial premises in the wider city. These permanent, full-time posts carry a floor of 37.5 hours weekly and a usual load of 40 to 42, largely on weekdays, with longer days at times. Leads are accountable for each project end to end and coordinate a colleague or small team, while newer starters build capability with supervision fitted to their level.

On the migration side, AEWV applicants are welcome, including candidates requiring employer sponsorship support to apply for an Accredited Employer Work Visa. Employment remains subject to obtaining the appropriate New Zealand work rights.
