Success depends on demonstrated carpentry expertise: practical building work, precise installation and consistently high workmanship. Your scope will run from structural timber framing and flooring through to external works, fittings and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan carpentry work by interpreting architectural and construction drawings and taking dimensions, materials and work sequences from project specifications
- Measure, mark, cut and shape timber and other construction materials, modifying components to achieve a precise fit and finish on site
- Erect wall framing, roof structures, floor joists and sub-floor systems, ensuring structural timber members are aligned precisely and fixed securely
- Install timber door and window frames, related building components, and prefabricated and timber fittings to project requirements
- Complete exterior timber work including fascia, wall cladding and roof sheathing
- Carry out repairs, alterations and replacement of damaged timber structures
- Build and dismantle temporary timber formwork for concrete works
- Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment in a safe, efficient way
- Uphold a high standard of workmanship and comply with site safety procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification that is recognised
- Proven hands-on construction experience in residential and/or commercial settings, covering general carpentry, installation and repair
- In-depth practical knowledge of structural carpentry and timber framing
- Competence with carpentry hand tools, power tools and related equipment, plus strong measuring, cutting, fitting and installation skills
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications with accuracy
- Sound understanding of construction methods and workplace safety procedures
- Capacity to work independently and contribute effectively to a construction team, along with willingness to meet relevant Australian construction and site requirements
- Suitable qualified candidates may be considered for visa sponsorship
