Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret plans, specifications and project requirements
- Coordinate tasks and support project planning where required
- Carry out general carpentry across residential and commercial sites
- Install direct stick engineered timber flooring to a high standard
- Complete each flooring installation safely and efficiently
- Measure timber and other building materials precisely
- Cut and fit those materials accurately
- Sustain high standards of workmanship with attention to detail
- Operate carpentry tools and equipment and keep them maintained
- Work both independently and as part of the project team
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Deliver projects within scheduled timeframes
- Provide professional service while upholding quality standards on every project
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience is preferred
- Experience with direct stick engineered timber flooring installation will be highly regarded
- Carpentry trade qualification or equivalent experience preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship
- Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment
- A positive attitude and openness to learning and developing new skills
- Excellent time management and organisation, along with reliability, punctuality and commitment to high-quality work
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work across residential and commercial construction projects, with a strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
