Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry across residential and commercial renovation projects
- Deliver kitchen installation and cabinetry projects
- Measure, cut, assemble and install timber components and cabinetry
- Undertake bathroom renovation and refurbishment
- Complete fit-outs in residential and commercial settings
- Provide general carpentry and building maintenance
- Perform carpentry work associated with roofing
- Construct fencing and other external structures
- Interpret plans, drawings and measurements, selecting appropriate materials, tools and methods for each task
- Coordinate activities with other trades and project team members
- Manage allocated work independently against agreed project requirements
- Resolve site issues with practical solutions
- Deliver a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and finish
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas safe and organised
- Comply with relevant workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain professional conduct on customer and commercial sites and adapt to different projects and changing requirements
- Support efficient project delivery and continuous improvement
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of post-apprenticeship experience in carpentry
- Proven capability across multiple carpentry disciplines
- Substantial cabinetmaking and kitchen installation experience
- Fit-out experience in both domestic and commercial settings
- Roofing and fencing experience will be highly regarded
- Demonstrable hands-on trade experience that is genuine
- Confidence to work independently without constant supervision
- Effective collaboration with other trades and contractors
- Strong organisational and planning capability
- Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A reliable, motivated and professional work ethic
- Commitment to upskilling and expanding existing trade capabilities
- Full Australian driver's licence
- Own carpentry tools
- Capacity to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate sponsored visa; overseas applicants may be considered for visa sponsorship based on verified trade experience, qualifications and overall suitability
