Bricklaying experience can be the foundation of a long-term career in Western Australia. A construction business in Perth is seeking qualified Bricklayers to work on ongoing residential and commercial projects.

The focus is on tradespeople who can demonstrate genuine hands-on experience and recognised trade qualifications, and who can deliver quality work consistently on Australian construction sites.

For skilled bricklayers from India and other countries whose qualifications and experience can be verified, the role offers a way to take a trade career to the next level within the Australian construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan each job by reading and interpreting building plans, drawings and project specifications
• Establish an accurate set-out of brickwork prior to construction
• Lay bricks and blocks in accordance with required lines, levels and specifications
• Prepare mortar mixes to the correct consistency
• Verify brickwork accuracy and alignment through measurement, spirit levels and measuring equipment
• Operate brick cutting machinery and relevant trade tools
• Produce brickwork with a strong emphasis on quality and finish, rectifying any alignment or workmanship issues identified
• Adhere to construction procedures and workplace safety requirements
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and other trades
• Keep tools, equipment and work areas well maintained
• Deliver assigned tasks efficiently in line with project schedules

Requirements & Eligibility

• Recognised trade qualification in Bricklaying at a minimum of Certificate III, or equivalent
• Demonstrated professional bricklaying experience, with strong practical knowledge across residential and commercial construction
• Capability to read and understand construction plans and to produce accurate, consistent brickwork
• Competence in using brick cutting equipment, levels and measuring tools
• Sound understanding of construction workplace health and safety practices
• A reliable, professional and committed work approach
• Capacity to work independently and within a construction team, and physical capability to perform bricklaying duties
• Ability to supply evidence supporting relevant qualifications and work experience
• Overseas-qualified Bricklayers with suitable experience are welcome to apply, with sponsorship available for suitable candidates following assessment of qualifications and experience
