Key Responsibilities
- Uphold strict personal and workplace hygiene standards
- Apply appropriate boning and trimming techniques when processing beef carcases
- Produce primal cuts that match required specifications
- Safeguard product yield, quality and presentation
- Work safely with knives and processing machinery
- Deliver production tasks with efficiency and accuracy
- Keep products under observation and escalate quality or contamination concerns
- Comply with halal processing requirements as well as food safety and WHS procedures
- Contribute to the production team, sustain a consistent workflow to standard and engage in training and development as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial knife-handling ability you are able to demonstrate
- Proven experience across beef processing, boning, slicing or halal slaughter
- Practical understanding of beef cuts and the techniques used to process them
- Capacity to provide evidence of relevant industry experience
- A strong commitment to accuracy, quality and safe working practices
- Productivity in a physically demanding work environment
- Reliability, teamwork and sound workplace discipline
- Capacity to follow detailed processing and hygiene procedures
- Eligibility for sponsorship or current Australian working rights
- For overseas applicants: must meet the applicable Subclass 482 requirements and hold a relevant skills assessment where required for the nominated occupation
