Key Responsibilities

Cut hair to a high standard for men, women and children, producing classic and contemporary styles
Hold consultations to learn each client's preferred cut and styling requirements, and recommend suitable hair care and grooming products
Offer beard trimming, shaping and grooming, along with wet shaving where appropriately skilled
Apply consistent cutting, styling and finishing standards, bringing strong attention to detail to every service
Run a clean, hygienic and organised workstation in line with workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures
Provide professional, friendly service that develops positive relationships with new and returning clients
Collaborate effectively with other barbers and hairdressers
Present yourself professionally at all times
Engage in training and professional development, and help sustain a positive, team-focused workplace

Requirements & Eligibility

Relevant Barbering or Hairdressing qualification preferred, alongside demonstrated practical experience in a salon or barbershop environment
Strong technical ability in traditional and modern haircutting, applied confidently across varied hair types and customer requirements
Good communication and interpersonal skills paired with a strong customer service mindset
Polished professional appearance and personal presentation
A dependable, positive and motivated attitude backed by good attention to detail
Capacity to work both independently and within a team
Openness to learning new techniques and ongoing professional development
Shaving and beard-grooming experience is advantageous
Apprentices with suitable practical training may also be considered
Applicants must provide genuine and verifiable qualifications and employment history, and must meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
