Bar Manager

For an experienced bar professional looking to move further into hospitality leadership, this senior Bar Manager position in North Sydney offers real scope to shape how a venue's beverage operation performs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and checklists
- Refine bar workflows and service processes
- Take ownership of the bar's daily operations
- Coach team members, set rosters and provide leadership behind the bar
- Uphold quality standards for cocktails, wine and spirits
- Coordinate beverage purchasing and manage stock levels
- Run efficient ordering and inventory systems while monitoring beverage usage and cost performance
- Apply responsible service of alcohol standards
- Ensure the bar complies with liquor licence requirements
- Contribute to beverage menu development and continuous improvement
- Partner with the wider venue team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven capability in team leadership and training, along with demonstrated experience taking responsibility for bar operations
- Relevant experience of at least three years in senior bartending or bar management
- In-depth practical knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits
- Previous experience in beverage stock management and ordering, with an understanding of beverage costing and inventory control
- Strong communication and organisational abilities, combined with high attention to detail and operational accuracy
- Current NSW RSA competency card
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid Australian work rights, or eligibility for sponsorship by an employer
- Capacity to evidence relevant employment experience and your professional background
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable criteria for employer-sponsored employment in Australia
