Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scratch production of sweet and savoury pies, from pastry and fillings to the final finish
- Manufacture creamery products, including ice cream, custards and other dairy-based lines
- Sustain quality, consistency and presentation while meeting food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage stock rotation, ingredient ordering and kitchen cleanliness
- Develop or refine recipes and seasonal specials, collaborating with the kitchen and front-of-house team on daily production targets
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a baker, pastry chef or similar
- Particular strength in pies alongside creamery or dairy products
- Strong pastry fundamentals, for example dough, lamination and blind baking
- Understanding of dairy-based dessert preparation
- Understanding of food safety requirements
- Reliable, organised, attentive to detail and genuinely passionate about baking
- Able to work early morning shifts; relevant certifications such as food safety handling are a plus
