Automotive Technicians/ Accessory Fitters

Advance your automotive career with a well-established dealership in South Australia that is filling multiple full-time permanent positions for qualified Automotive Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians, Accessory Fitters, and 3rd or 4th Year Light Vehicle Apprentices.

Working in a modern workshop on a wide range of vehicles, you will deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Ongoing manufacturer training and career development opportunities support long-term progression within a supportive team. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas applicants, including technicians from India, who meet Australian visa requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled servicing, repairs and maintenance across light vehicles
  • Apply diagnostic equipment to pinpoint mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and determine repair requirements
  • Execute repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards
  • Install aftermarket accessories such as bull bars, tow bars, canopies, roof racks and lighting
  • Adhere to manufacturer fitting instructions and quality procedures
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe workshop environment
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with workshop colleagues and management to support efficiency and productivity
  • Engage in ongoing manufacturer training and professional development to build your skills
  • Observe workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Recognised as a qualified Automotive Technician or Diagnostic Technician, or currently undertaking a 3rd or 4th Year Light Vehicle Apprenticeship
  • A relevant automotive qualification or apprenticeship appropriate to the role
  • Background as an Accessory Fitter, or strong mechanical aptitude suited to accessory installation
  • Experience in servicing and repairing light vehicles
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • A positive attitude backed by a strong work ethic
  • Effectiveness working both independently and as part of a team, plus good communication and customer service skills
  • Holder of a current driver's licence, or able to obtain an Australian driver's licence
