Automotive Mechanic / Technician

This is a permanent opportunity for a trade-qualified Automotive Technician who wants to keep advancing their technical skills in a well-equipped workshop. A well-established automotive business is recruiting technicians with proven hands-on experience, genuine trade credentials, practical capability and a reliable employment history.

For skilled technicians, experience is measured by the vehicles you have worked on, the faults you have diagnosed and the quality of your repair work.

Both full-time and part-time arrangements are offered, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. You will have access to modern diagnostic equipment, quality tools and a team-focused working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults through systematic inspections and mechanical fault finding, using diagnostic scanners and modern workshop equipment
Deliver scheduled servicing, routine maintenance and mechanical repairs across a range of makes and models
Execute repairs efficiently while upholding quality workmanship
Produce accurate records of servicing, diagnostics and repairs
Communicate identified faults and repair work clearly to customers
Uphold a clean, safe and organised workshop, in line with appropriate procedures and safety standards
Collaborate with other technicians and workshop team members

Requirements & Eligibility

Demonstrated practical experience across multiple vehicle makes and models
At least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience in the automotive sector
A relevant trade qualification such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or equivalent
Well-developed mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Competence with automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment
Capacity to evidence genuine qualifications and employment history
Precision, attention to detail and a professional, reliable approach to quality repairs and workplace responsibilities
Capability to work autonomously and add positive value to a team
Current Australian Driver's Licence, or eligibility to obtain one
Capacity to satisfy the applicable sponsorship and employment requirements
