AP/MPI Certified Warehouse Person

This long-term role in Auckland, New Zealand suits warehouse professionals who want to build specialist expertise in container operations and MPI compliance. The employer is seeking a current AP Holder / MPI Certified professional to take responsibility for safe, efficient container devanning in line with MPI requirements.
Going beyond a standard warehouse position, the role combines operational oversight, documentation and compliance with hands-on unloading. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily container devanning and unloading, ensuring MPI requirements and procedures are correctly applied and compliance is maintained throughout
- Complete MPI documentation, inspection records and associated paperwork, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with the unloading, handling and movement of goods
- Monitor container processing to achieve operational deadlines
- Identify and report safety, compliance or operational concerns
- Coordinate with other container handling and warehouse staff
- Adhere to established workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Contribute to a productive, organised and efficient work environment, and assist with other warehouse duties when operationally required
Requirements & Eligibility
- A current and valid AP/MPI Certification
- Previous experience in warehouse, container handling or devanning roles
- Practical knowledge of MPI procedures and requirements
- Physical fitness and capability for regular manual lifting
- Comfort working in a hands-on operational environment
- Reliability, with excellent punctuality and attendance
- Ability to work efficiently within a team
- Strong understanding of workplace deadlines and timeframes
- Accuracy in following instructions and compliance procedures, and commitment to strict health and safety standards
- Availability for early morning starts and full working days
