Aluminium Fabricator

An expanding manufacturer in Hawera, Taranaki has openings for experienced Aluminium Fabricators. The company is seeking tradespeople with genuine workshop backgrounds who can deliver precise, high-quality output consistently and who handle aluminium components, production machinery and detailed assembly processes with confidence.

The position sits within a structured production team building window and door solutions for residential and commercial projects. Your practical know-how, eye for detail and ability to work to established processes will directly support output and quality standards.

For skilled tradespeople from India and other countries, it is a chance to apply proven fabrication skills in a well-organised manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce aluminium parts for windows and doors, then assemble the finished products to the specifications required
  • Measure materials and components precisely before cutting aluminium and timber on workshop saws and machinery, and drill and punch parts accurately
  • Install glass and wedge units as production runs, and inspect completed units for quality and accuracy
  • Ready finished products for dispatch and support deliveries whenever required
  • Run workshop tools, equipment and machinery safely, observing workplace health and safety requirements
  • Maintain clean, organised workstations, equipment and vehicles
  • Work to documented manufacturing procedures, sustain consistent production and quality standards and finish assigned work within required timeframes
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow members of the production team

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated practical background in a manufacturing or workshop environment
  • At least 12 months of hands-on experience in aluminium fabrication
  • Confident operation of fabrication tools and machinery
  • Accurate measuring and cutting of materials
  • Skill in drilling, punching and assembling aluminium components
  • Sound understanding of quality-control requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to follow established production procedures and to learn and adapt to workplace processes
  • Physical capability to lift items over 20kg
  • A reliable, punctual and responsible approach, backed by a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Able to work productively within a team, and independently when required
  • Able to demonstrate genuine and relevant work experience
  • Eligible for New Zealand employment or applicable sponsorship support
