Key Responsibilities

Technical services: deliver professional barbering to a consistently high standard, including modern fades, clipper cuts, scissor cuts, styling, beard trimming, grooming and shaving
Consultation: consult with clients and recommend styles based on their preferences and appearance
Client relationships: create a personalised, professional experience for every client and develop long-term relationships that encourage repeat business
Standards: maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and workstation presentation and take ownership of quality and consistency
Shop environment: help maintain a welcoming, professional shop and take initiative in supporting smooth operations
Communication and teamwork: communicate positively and professionally with clients and colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, energetic team culture
Professional growth: stay current with emerging trends, products and techniques and continue developing technical and customer-service skills
Brand representation: represent the business through professional conduct, presentation and workmanship

Requirements & Eligibility

Qualification: recognised Certificate III in Barbering, Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification
Experience: minimum two years of relevant professional barbering work
Technical skills: practical experience in fades, clipper work and scissor cutting, competence in beard trimming, grooming and shaving, and an understanding of contemporary styles and techniques
Quality focus: strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, professional appearance and a reliable work ethic
Client skills: strong communication and customer service, with the ability to build genuine client relationships
Mindset: positive attitude, effective teamwork and willingness to keep learning and developing professionally
Documentation: evidence of relevant qualifications and verifiable employment history and industry experience
Clientele: existing personal clientele advantageous but not essential
Eligibility: must satisfy applicable Australian employment and sponsorship requirements and must be eligible for the relevant sponsorship pathway where sponsorship is required
